City Lovin'

Being a city lover, I missed the feel of walking through New York City in the summer time. Unlike past summers, I've only gone to the city at most 3 times this whole summer, which is so upsetting. But I did take advantage of my day off and decided to go to the city with my good friend, Vicky. I wore a black maxi dress from H&M and did my very first sock bun! It was a messy bun with a bunch of fly aways but I guess that's why they say practice makes perfect. It couldn't have been a better day to walk all throughout NYC; going shopping and eating good food. While walking around the NYU Campus, we made a pit stop at the Washington Square Park and we saw kids running around and playing in the fountain. It couldn't have been a better day for that, with the humidity and all. I also discovered my new favorite drink from Starbucks, the green tea lemonade but I heard the Peach Green Tea Lemonade is even better so I'd have to try that next time!

Have a lovely August everyone and enjoy the Summer and the weather before it's gone! Sooner or later before we even know it, it'll be Fall, yikes! But I'm so excited for the winter season, so I can wear all my sweaters and other comfy clothes.

Leather Jacket - Alfani

Tie-Dye Print Jeans - Else

Cheetah Print Pants - Calvin Klein
D&O Gardenia Skull Oblong Scarf - Urban Outfitters
Green Peplum Top - INC
Over the past couple weeks, I've been able to find some pieces while at the mall and online. Since it's Summer, I stacked up on dresses and my absolute favorite is the high-low dress from H&M! That one is my more expensive buy, but I couldn't resist! I also bought a leather jacket - I know it's Summer but I couldn't pass up on it since I found it in the sale rack - by Alfani. I don't usually wear leather or the color yellow/green, and this is officially my first leather jacket, but it didn't look too bad on me so I bought it (impulse buy much?). Well we all go through some sort of change - and mine just happens to be about the way I dress. I used to gear towards clothing that was more vintage looking and darker colors like black and navy. But now, I've realized that when I go shopping, my eyes automatically go towards the bright and fun colors! I definitely go shopping a little too much but when there's awesome sales - especially the Spring/Summer Sale almost every store is having - it's hard to stop myself!

Go check out Zara and Asos for their Summer sale now!!

H&M Embellished Tank Top/H&M Shorts/Steve Madden Embellished Thong Sandals/Alex&Ani Bangles
This past Sunday, I was invited to a BBQ in honor of my family friend, Anthony, coming back from the Marines for a few weeks. The weather didn't go according to our plan so it started pouring out of nowhere but the food was good and so was the company! I also got the chance to finally give my best friend Vicky, her birthday present and I'm so glad she loves them!

Now, I know this isn't really an OOTD post but I decided to just add in the details of my outfit anyway. My whole outfit is actually from H&M, which isn't surprising since it's one of my favorite places to shop. I got the two items during their Summer Sale so everything was super inexpensive! I got the tank top for $7 and the shorts for $10 (what a steal!).

Look At Those Long Legs

H&M Pink High-Low Button Up/Hollister Co. Boot-Cut Jeans/Lucky Wedges/ F21 Necklace

First off, I have no idea why I look super tan in all these photos. It's probably the lighting cause I swear I'm not this dark in person! Anyway, today has been the first day in ages since I've worn boot-cut flared jeans. You can technically say they're not in style anymore since the skinny jean era took over but I somehow think boot-cut jeans will one day come back since most trends do recycle. Other than the fact that I was wearing wedges, these jeans made my legs look so long and skinny! Which is a plus, since I'm the total opposite.
